Why print is still important?

So you've got a fancy, all singing, all dancing website and you're very proud of it...

But having an all singing and dancing website is just the start... how do you get people to look at it? With over 1 trillion sites throughout the world a key word search can only do so much. Especially if you want to target a specific business area.

One of the best ways of achieving this is advertising.

Where should I advertise?

This is a question we are always asked by our clients. One of the cheapest and most effective ways of creating awareness through advertising nowadays is a mailer, might seem a little old fashioned in today’s technological era but it's been proven time and time again that good design delivered through the door gets noticed. This direct consumer approach is a fantastic way of getting your message across, whether it's to draw attention to the new website you've spent thousands on, or just to promote the services of your business.

The humble "Mailer" still has its place. This way you can directly influence your specific target audience, without spending fortunes on magazine or newspaper space.

Is printing environmentally friendly?

Electronic media require massive global infrastructure not least to support access to the worldwide web and to appropriate technology to view information. The industry hasn't exactly raced to be transparent about the energy profile of the technology behind the Internet.

Recent research has also highlighted that performing two Google searches from a desktop computer can generate about the same amount of carbon dioxide as boiling a kettle for a cup of tea (something to think about when doing that nightly search for Brazilian super models).

On the flip side printing a few hundred mailers directly targeting your audience on sustainable or recycled paper could conceivably be greener in the long run. So when doing your yearly marketing budget don't forget to put a chunk aside for print, it could drastically improve your profits!
