Why men are better communicators...
Ahh... a chance to be slightly misogynistic?
No, a chance to give my two-penneth about the aforementioned blog entitled: 'Why women are better communicators...' The simple fact of the matter is, men don't get hang-ups about how the opposite sex is 'more in control' or 'Better' than us. We simply get on with the task in hand. We may no be able to multi-task as efficiently as a women can, but nine out of ten times we can take a job and see it through to the end without crying, whingeing about our nails, wondering what everyone else thinks of us or how many calories we're burning off whilst doing it. Some might say that's a woman prerogative, but does it make them better communicators?
I'm not sure... Until we employed our first female designer about 8 months ago I had almost written them off as designers. I'd seen a few in the past that had shown promise, but none that impressed beyond their portfolio. Design as you know IS communication. We're here to show how literature and information can be displayed to sell to the end user, a skill that until recently I'd had no confidence that a female designer could achieve. Well I was wrong... It's never about the sex of an individual, it's about the personality... Once people get over their own hang-ups and limitations anything is possible, whether it be a man, a woman or a trans-gender Polish gorilla. Anyway that's about enough for me, I've got a pile of ironing to do.
