Back to the grindstone

After having my first week off (excluding Christmas) from work, I was apprehensive about returning. Being at university and having holidays galore coming back I always struggled getting into the swing of things again, with brain still in holiday-mode my work never seemed up to scratch. But that was no big deal, I had months on briefs and had plenty of time to redo anything that wasn't up to my preferred standard. This was different...

Here I had daily deadlines, maximum weekly, and if I wasn't working as usual clients wouldn't be happy. The nerves set in monday morning... sweaty palms, scratching of my head as I sat drinking my morning brew (thanks to Nikki) and my first job came along... and I nailed it!
I have discovered that something has changed, now I know I have learnt so much from working here, I am amazed everyday of my progress but this was miraculous if anything I think I did better than usual after giving my brain a rest. Another difference I have noticed is that throughout these university holidays I neglected design, I was learning at uni so the chance not to learn for a while was heaven sent but now, in the industry, learning is something I still want to do and keep up with so through my holiday I couldn't resist looking in my new design books and keeping my brain in gear.
THIS IS THE BIG CHANGE!
Now I have a good grasp I love learning more, whether it's photography, web design, layout, anything! and that's why I love my job, because I will never know everything, and I will never try everything but I'm sure as hell gonna give it all I've got!
